Matterport surveys.

One site visit. A 4K virtual tour your clients can walk through in a browser, schematic floor plans, and LiDAR point cloud data your design team can build on. Captured on the Matterport Pro 3, delivered within 48 hours — across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Scotland, and the UK.

Don't take our word for it. Walk through one.

This is a real Kanna capture — the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, scanned for renovation works. The point cloud went to architects Collective Architecture, who cut sections straight from it to model the building in Revit. Click in and explore: dollhouse view, floor plans, measurements.

Four deliverables. One visit.

A Matterport survey isn't just a virtual tour. The same scan produces marketing, record, and design data — so you pay for site access once.

Who books a Matterport survey.

The same capture serves very different jobs. These are the ones we're booked for most.

Property marketing & lettings

Listings with 3D tours generate more enquiries and better-qualified viewings. Give buyers and tenants a true sense of the space before they visit.

Construction progress records

Scan at key stages — pre-cover, first fix, handover — for a dated, measurable record of exactly what was built and what is behind the walls.

Insurance & dilapidations

A timestamped, measurable record of condition. Invaluable for schedules of condition, dilapidations claims, and insurance documentation.

Hotels, venues & hospitality

Let event planners and guests walk the venue remotely. Sell the space 24/7 without a single site visit.

Facilities & asset management

A navigable record of every site in your portfolio. Brief contractors, plan maintenance, and resolve queries without travel.

Fit-out & refurbishment

Designers and contractors price and plan from the tour — fewer site visits, fewer surprises, faster tender returns.

Heritage & conservation

Non-invasive digital recording of listed and historic buildings, preserved permanently and shareable with any stakeholder.

Retail & showrooms

An always-open digital showroom. Embed it in your website and let customers explore from anywhere.

Remote design reviews

Architects and engineers walk the existing building from their desk — measure, annotate, and resolve queries without revisiting site.

A technologist's scan, not just a camera operator's.

Plenty of photographers offer Matterport tours. Kanna is led by a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) — we capture with the design team's needs in mind, because we are one.

That means scan positions planned for measurement coverage, not just pretty views. Point cloud exports your architect can actually use. And a clear upgrade path to high-accuracy LiDAR or full Revit models when the project needs it.

Fixed-price quotes

Price confirmed before we attend site. No day-rate surprises, no hidden hosting fees in year one.

48-hour delivery

Tours live within two working days of capture. Floor plans and point cloud exports follow close behind.

Based in Glasgow. On site anywhere in the UK.

We scan across Scotland every week, and travel UK-wide for commercial instructions and multi-site portfolios. One point of contact, consistent output, wherever your properties are.

Matterport surveys, answered.

What is a Matterport survey? +
A Matterport survey is a digital capture of a property using a Matterport 3D camera. The result is an interactive 3D virtual tour you can walk through in a web browser, plus measurable spatial data — floor plans, measurements, and point clouds — generated from the same scan. One visit to site produces a marketing tour, a condition record, and design-ready data.
How much does a Matterport survey cost in the UK? +
Pricing depends on floor area and site complexity. Small residential properties typically start in the low hundreds of pounds; large commercial buildings and multi-site portfolios are quoted per project. Every quote is fixed-price before we attend site — tell us the property type and approximate floor area and we will confirm a price, usually same day.
How accurate is a Matterport scan? +
The Matterport Pro 3 uses LiDAR and is typically accurate to within 1% of reality — suitable for marketing floor plans, condition records, and feasibility work. Where you need higher accuracy for detailed design, we combine or replace it with terrestrial LiDAR scanning for millimetre-level point cloud data.
How long does it take? +
Most properties are captured in a single visit — a typical house in under two hours, larger commercial buildings within a day. Your tour is processed and live within 24–48 hours of the scan, with floor plans and point cloud exports following shortly after.
Do you cover my area? +
Yes. We are based in Glasgow and scan across the whole of Scotland weekly — Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, and the Highlands. For multi-site instructions and larger projects we work UK-wide, from Newcastle and Manchester down to London.
What is the difference between a Matterport survey and a point cloud survey? +
Matterport is image-led: fast, visual, and ideal for tours, marketing, and condition records, with useful (±1%) measurement accuracy. A terrestrial LiDAR point cloud survey is accuracy-led: dense, millimetre-level data for detailed design and BIM. Many clients use both — Matterport for the visual record, LiDAR for the geometry. We offer both and will recommend the right tool for your brief.
Can I get floor plans from the scan? +
Yes. Schematic floor plans in PDF and DWG are a standard add-on, generated from the scan data with no extra site visit. For full measured building surveys and Revit models, see our scan-to-BIM service.
How is the tour hosted and shared? +
Tours are hosted on the Matterport cloud and shared by link or embedded directly into your website — unbranded and password-protected options are available. Hosting is included for the first year, with low-cost renewal after that. You can also download the assets for your own records.
