Scanning for production.

Sets, locations, props, and environments — captured with LiDAR and photogrammetry, delivered in the formats your pipeline actually uses. Based in Glasgow with Scotland's studios and locations on our doorstep; working with productions UK-wide.

What we capture.

01

Set & Location Scanning

LiDAR capture of sets, locations, and backlots before they’re struck or redressed. The geometry survives even when the set doesn’t.

Terrestrial + mobile LiDAR
Registered point clouds
Same-day capture windows
02

Photogrammetry Asset Capture

High-resolution photogrammetry of props, vehicles, façades, and environments — processed into textured 3D meshes ready for your pipeline.

PBR texture maps
.fbx / .obj / .glb delivery
Decimation to spec
03

Environment Capture for Games

Real-world environments captured and delivered as meshes and point clouds for Unreal, Unity, and proprietary engines.

Unreal + Unity ready
Tiled assets for streaming
Reference imagery included
04

Aerial & Hard-to-Reach Capture

CAA-authorised drone photogrammetry for rooftops, exteriors, and wide environments that ground-based capture can’t reach.

CAA-authorised ops
Orthomosaics + 3D mesh
Location context capture

Where capture earns its keep.

A set gets struck. A location gets handed back. A scan makes both permanent.

VFX & set extension

Survey-accurate geometry of the practical set so digital extensions line up perfectly — no guessing camera-tracked dimensions in post.

Set documentation & continuity

A measurable record of the dressed set before strike. If reshoots happen six months later, the set can be rebuilt or recreated digitally from the scan.

Virtual production

Real locations captured as 3D environments for LED-volume and in-camera VFX workflows.

Game environment reference

Real streets, buildings, and interiors captured as dense reference data for environment artists — or processed into engine-ready assets.

Location scouting twins

Matterport tours of candidate locations so directors, DOPs, and designers can walk them remotely before committing to a recce.

Archive & franchise assets

Permanent digital records of hero sets and props — available to any future production in the franchise.

Survey discipline, production pace.

We come from the measured-survey world — registered point clouds, traceable accuracy, data that holds up when someone builds from it. That discipline matters in production too: a set extension only lines up if the scan underneath it is right.

The same kit and team that deliver our LiDAR surveys and digital twins work to production schedules — capture windows measured in hours, NDAs as standard, and delivery in the formats your pipeline expects.

Fast on set

Mobile LiDAR covers large sets in hours, not days. We work around units, trades, and turnaround.

NDA as standard

Nothing captured on a production is shared, published, or used in marketing without written clearance.

Pipeline-ready delivery

E57, LAS, FBX, OBJ, glTF — with textures and decimation to your spec, not a raw data dump.

Scotland on the doorstep

Glasgow-based, close to Scotland’s studios and locations — and UK-wide when the production travels.

Production scanning, answered.

How fast can you capture a set? +
Production schedules drive everything, and we plan around them. A standing set can typically be scanned in hours — overnight or between units if needed. Mobile LiDAR covers large sets fast; we add terrestrial scans and photogrammetry where the pipeline needs more density or texture quality.
What formats do you deliver for VFX and games pipelines? +
Point clouds in E57, LAS, or PLY; meshes in FBX, OBJ, or glTF/GLB with PBR texture sets; and decimated versions to your polygon budget. Tell us your pipeline — we deliver to spec rather than handing over raw data.
Can you work on a live production? +
Yes. We’re used to working around other trades, tight turnarounds, and confidentiality. NDAs are standard practice for production work — nothing we capture is shared or published without written clearance.
Do you cover productions outside Scotland? +
Yes. We’re based in Glasgow with Scotland’s studios and locations on our doorstep, and we travel UK-wide for productions. For multi-location shoots we can capture each location as the production moves.
What’s the difference between LiDAR and photogrammetry for this work? +
LiDAR gives you accurate geometry fast — ideal for set dimensions, VFX layout, and anything measured. Photogrammetry gives you texture-rich surfaces — ideal for assets that need to look right up close. Most production work uses both: LiDAR for the bones, photogrammetry for the skin.
