The Brief
A commercial property owner wanted to create a digital twin that combined accurate spatial data with real performance metrics. The platform would support ongoing facilities management and inform future retrofit planning.
Our Approach
We conducted a comprehensive LiDAR survey of the entire building, converting the point cloud to a Revit model at LOD 300. Simultaneously, we installed U-value sensors at key locations and conducted thermal imaging to understand the building’s actual thermal performance.
The Results
The client now has a living digital replica of their building:
- Intelligent BIM model for facilities management
- Verified performance data embedded in the model
- Platform for future IoT sensor integration
- Evidence base for net-zero planning
